Overview

Overview on What We Do

GHASDO Asia is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives and building resilient communities across Cambodia. We focus our efforts on vulnerable groups, particularly orphans, widows, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. Our work spans education, health, livelihoods, community empowerment, and human rights advocacy.

Research and Evaluation

GHASDO Asia invests in rigorous monitoring and evaluation to ensure accountability and inform strategic direction. We track key indicators across education, health, and livelihoods to assess progress and identify gaps.

  • Baseline & Impact Assessments: Conducted before and after every major initiative.
  • Community Feedback Loops: Regularly gathering beneficiary insights to refine programs.
  • Annual Impact Reports: Published to promote transparency and share learnings with partners.

Our Stories

Behind every statistic is a story of resilience. Like Dara, a boy once orphaned by illness, who now attends school full-time and dreams of becoming a teacher. Or Sokha, a widowed mother of four, who now runs her own home-based food business after receiving microloan and mentorship through GHASDO.

These human stories show what’s possible when compassion meets opportunity.

Our Strategy

We employ a holistic strategy grounded in community engagement, capacity-building, and sustainability. Our programs are tailored through direct consultation with local stakeholders to ensure relevance, cultural alignment, and long-term success.

  • Integrated Programming: Addressing multiple needs simultaneously, including health, education, food security, and economic opportunity.
  • Local Ownership: Training and empowering community leaders, teachers, and volunteers to drive change from within.
  • Data-Driven: Using evidence and feedback to design, implement, and refine interventions for greater effectiveness.
  • Advocacy: Working with government and civil society to push for policy changes that benefit marginalized populations.
